Right Place, Right Time

I enjoyed a nice afternoon walk at my local park today. Fresh air, nature, and exercise — that’s one feel good Friday, if you ask me! But, it gets even better. As I walked along a dirt path nestled under low hanging trees surrounding  a beautiful lake, the sound of rock music began to fill the air. As someone that loves music, I was intrigued, so I set out to find the source of the music.  I made my way out from under the tree-lined path into an open field. At the end of the open field was a stage and the source of the music was coming from. On stage was a lone performer singing a song reminiscent to Jack Johnson (and must I say, “Yay” to that, Jack Johnson is one of my favorite singers).

As I stood listening to the music with the lake and trees surrounding me, I felt happy and inspired.

When I arrived home, I did a quick search on the internet and it turns out the concert  in the park was part of a concert series called, “Rock, Reuse & Recycle 3″. The goal of the concert is to bring environmental awareness to young people in an effort to make the township more “green.”  20 bands are to be in attendance.  Music for the sake of music is great, music for the purpose of backing a cause such as this is even better.  To learn how you can reduce, reuse, recycle and help out planet, visit: http://www.epa.gov/epawaste/conserve/rrr/index.htm

What Do You Love About the World?

It is Feel Good Friday and I have released another episode of Your Blooming (listen to it here). Fridays are grand, aren’t they? Well, every day is a good day, especially when it is one filled with sun, birds singing and flowers blooming. Spring time is here in NJ and I am also surrounded by the smell of freshly cut lawns, mulch (not the stinky kind) and the aromas of beautiful blossoming flowers. These are the things I love about the world.

So, what do you love about the world? Answer the question below and one lucky person will receive a brand new copy of the book “I Love the World Because.

Feel Good Friday

Today’s Feel Good Friday entry simply is a quote that I received in my email this morning.

You know, no one’s sad when company’s coming. I have memories of company coming to my parents’ home and all of us getting well-dressed and anticipating good food. That’s the atmosphere I try to create, to always feel festive about our daily life.” –Vimala Rajendran

I actually look forward to the weekends (especially in the summer) because I know family and friends will be coming over to our house for food, fun and family time! What a great way to think and feel about every single day of your life! Amazing.
