Alright! I am so excited! Episode Numero Uno of Your Blooming is finally here. This has been a long time coming and the fact that it is online (officially) for the world to hear is absolutely positively amazing.

My idea to start this podcast and subsequent website started way back in November. I had a conversation with a Virtual Assistant peer of mine and something she said inspired me. So, later that afternoon I recorded the original episode of Your Blooming. As with anything else in my life, when I am inspired, I don’t let anything inhibit me. Yes, I do look before I leap, but that’s just to be sure there is ground below for me to land on. There almost always is; of course, when there isn’t there is always someone there with open arms waiting to catch me. But, I digress.

After recording the piece of audio, I started to think about how to get my podcast out there and what I wanted the mission of it to be. I already have another podcast I produce called A Virtual Perception, which has its own website and blog. I knew I wanted to replicate what I had done with that podcast; however, I wanted the design to be something different than anything I have ever done. So, that is when I contacted Brianna Young of Mad Hatter Design Company, a super cool gal with a lot of talent, and asked her if she would be interested in designing a site for my new podcast. She said yes.

So, from a short, but inspiring conversation with a peer and some hard work by Brianna, this podcast and website was born. Thank you for helping me and inspiring me to make this happen!

Ok, all this talk about inspiration. You may be asking yourself  “what exactly does that mean?” What types of inspiration will you find here? Is this site going to be full of stories about people rising up from the ashes to fulfill their dreams?

Well, yes, there will be some of that, but for me inspiration comes from many different facets of life. I may see an image that inspires me to smile or watch a cooking show that inspires me to cook ~ inspiration comes in all forms. What inspires one person may or may not inspire another. So, inspiration on this site and in my podcasts will come in many many forms. One day you may find a story about someone who has formed an organization to help others, like  Connecting2Give; on another day it may be me talking about an event in my life – like the time I swallowed a tooth replacement in the dentist’s chair (oh yes, that did happen and when I tell that story, it will certainly inspire you to smile). So, you see, you never know what type of story you will find; however, rest assured whatever it is; it is here to inspire and motivate. How it inspires you; well that is entirely up to you!
